Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to join a hospital-based outpatient clinic for a 13-week travel assignment. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients to reduce pain, restore mobility, and improve overall function. The role includes working with patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings, with the current greatest need in inpatient care.

Physical Therapists develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based techniques to improve movement, restore function, and prevent disability. They also educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation strategies, and wellness programs to support long-term health and mobility.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Additional Requirement: Work at the hospital one Saturday per month
On-Call: None
Block Scheduling: Not available
48-Hour Guarantee: Not available

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide therapy to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function
Deliver care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
Educate patients and families on exercises, injury prevention, and lifestyle improvements
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in MedHost EMR
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of Physical Therapy experience required
Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings required
Current BLS certification required
Current New Mexico Physical Therapist license required
Pending New Mexico licensure accepted (must be included with submission)
