Job Description

OverviewPhysical Therapist — General in Kodiak, Alaska, United States. Travel - temporary assignment starting 10/19/2026 for several weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,650–$2,751 per week and guaranteed hours of 70 hours per two weeks (may be reduced by one 10-hour shift every two weeks). Shift: 5x8 Days. The setting combines acute care, outpatient, and SNF services within a hospital-type environment. First-timers accepted; locals not eligible—permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility. Licensure requirements will be reviewed at submission.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,650–$2,751 per week- Guaranteed hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks- Start date: 10/19/2026- Shift: 5x8 Days- Assignment setting: acute care / outpatient / SNF in a critical access hospital environment- Housing and transportation: provided (typically 1-bedroom apartment and a rental vehicle)- Floating: may cover Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF within scope- On-site charting: Epic (Epic required)Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluation and treatment across outpatient, acute care, and SNF settings for adults and geriatrics- Implement wound care, lymphedema management, gait training, transfers (including Hoyer lift), mobility training, and ADL education- Deliver pelvic floor therapy and pediatrics care when applicable; participate in ortho, neuro/stroke rehab, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation as needed- Utilize modalities such as e-stim, ultrasound, TENS, and iontophoresis; document patient progress in the electronic charting system (Epic)- Collaborate with the care team on plan of care, discharge planning, and patient/family education; ensure safe patient handling and transitionsRequirements- Alaska PT license (compact license must be in hand at submission); BLS required- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience- Ability to work across Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF settings within scope- First-timers accepted; locals not eligible (permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility)- Active licensure and clean credentialing; ability to meet pre-start orientations and modules- Willingness to float between units as needed and to work a 5x8 scheduleBenefits and Support- Housing provided (typically 1-bedroom apartment) and a rental vehicle- Pre-start orientation modules and ongoing recruiter support- Dedicated travel support throughout the assignment- Epic charting system training and requirements- Free parking at housing or facility locations- Clear, ongoing communication with an assigned account managerFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore additional openings, apply today at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply to view other opportunities available with Healthforce Healthcare LLCPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
