Job Description

OverviewPhysical Therapy Assistant, travel assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico, starting July 13, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,241 to $1,310 with guaranteed 35 hours per week. Shift is 5x8 days (08:00–16:30). Work will occur in a long-term care setting (nursing home). This temporary assignment is coordinated through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $1,241–$1,310 per week- Guaranteed hours: 35 per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: 5x8 days (08:00–16:30)- Start date: July 13, 2026- Setting: Long-term care / nursing home environmentResponsibilities- Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist per the plan of care.- Implement, monitor, and adjust treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, range of motion, gait, balance, and functional independence.- Administer therapeutic exercises, gait training, and manual techniques as delegated, and apply appropriate modalities within scope and facility policy.- Document patient progress accurately in the medical record and communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team.- Collaborate with the PT, nursing staff, and family members to ensure safe transfers, ADL participation, and adherence to safety and infection control protocols.Requirements- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Mexico or eligibility to practice there.- Willingness to work a travel assignment in Albuquerque, NM.- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team.- Ability to document clearly and maintain accurate patient records in electronic systems.- Prior PTA experience in rehabilitation settings is preferred, with LTC experience considered a plus.Benefits and Support- Assignment support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC throughout the duration of the contract- 24/7 recruiter and travel support to assist with logistics and questions- Credentialing and onboarding assistance to facilitate placement- Nationwide travel opportunities within the organization’s networkFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore other openings available at Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please visit https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply and apply to those that match your skills and preferences.Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
