OverviewEcho Technologist (Cardiac Echo) – Travel assignment in Hermiston, OR. Start date 05/26/2026; duration 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 4x10 Days. Weekly pay range: $2,347–$2,432 per week. This assignment takes place in a rural healthcare setting where cardiovascular imaging services are provided by a multidisciplinary team.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,347–$2,432 per week- Guaranteed hours: 40 per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: 4x10 Days- Start date: 05/26/2026- Work setting: Rural healthcare facility performing echocardiographyResponsibilities- Perform transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TEE), and stress echocardiograms per protocol, ASE guidelines, and physician orders.- Operate ultrasound and diagnostic imaging equipment to acquire high-quality cardiac images; use contrast agents (e.g., Definity) and agitated bubble techniques when appropriate.- Analyze echocardiographic data and prepare preliminary findings for the interpreting Cardiologist.- May start and manage intravenous lines for contrast echocardiography when credentialed and trained.- Collaborate closely with Cardiologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care; explain procedures to patients and maintain patient safety and comfort.- Review images for clarity, completeness, and diagnostic value; maintain accurate patient records in PACS or EMR; perform routine quality control and report equipment malfunctions; comply with HIPAA and infection control standards.- Maintain knowledge of cardiac anatomy and pathology; stay current with continuing education and new echocardiographic techniques; participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and accreditation processes (IAC Echocardiography); participate in required education for applicable program curricula (e.g., DNV-related education).Requirements- Education: Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with a focus in Cardiac Sonography.- Licenses/ Certifications: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI; BLS certification.- Experience: Minimum 1 year of Echo Tech experience; 3 years preferred.- Travel-specific: CRASE training required if the travel assignment extends beyond six months.- General: Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting; strong communication skills; ability to operate in a compliant, patient-centered environment.Benefits and Support- Guaranteed hours: 40 per week- 13-week travel assignment with a defined start date- Travel and credentialing coordination through Healthforce Healthcare LLC- Support for required compliance and safety training, with ongoing access to assignment-specific guidanceFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore additional openings available through Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please visit https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
