Job Description

OverviewInterventional Radiology Tech – Radiology travel assignment in Kansas City, KS. This start-on-May-31-2026, 13-week assignment offers a weekly pay range of $2,905 to $3,081. There are no guaranteed hours. Shift: 4x10-hour days. Setting: hospital-based interventional radiology unit.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,905–$3,081 per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: 4x10-hour days- Start date: May 31, 2026- High-volume IR environment: approximately 60–65 cases per day- Credentialing due 1 week prior to start; orientation scheduled per unit policyResponsibilities- Prepare and scrub for interventional radiology procedures; maintain a sterile field and ensure equipment readiness- Operate and troubleshoot Siemens imaging systems (Artis Icono, Artis Q, Artis Zee) to acquire fluoroscopic and radiographic guidance during procedures- Assist interventional radiologists with vascular, neurovascular, and peripheral interventions; manage catheters and devices; document procedures and images- Position patients, monitor vital signs, and manage contrast administration under physician guidance; apply radiation safety protocols and dose optimization- Post-procedure care: monitor patients in recovery, assist with transport, and ensure room turnover per unit standards- Maintain case accuracy: verify image labeling, archive cine runs, and support immediate documentation needsRequirements- ARRT Radiography certification and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license (needed in hand for submittal)- Minimum 2 years Interventional Radiology experience with scrub experience required- 3 years IR experience in a large hospital setting preferred; peripheral and neurovascular experience desired- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume IR environment (60–65 cases/day)- Eligibility to participate in a travel assignment in Kansas City, KS and perform duties in a hospital IR suiteBenefits and Support- Competitive weekly pay: $2,905–$3,081 per week- 13-week travel assignment with 4x10-hour shifts- Credentialing coordination and orientation scheduling to align with start date- Dedicated recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment- Assignment-specific support resources through Healthforce Healthcare LLCFind more opportunitiesTo view additional travel openings, please visit Healthforce Healthcare LLC’s opportunities page at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPAY DISCLAIMER RULE:Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
