Job Description

OverviewInterventional Radiology Technologist (Radiology Tech) in Hermiston, Oregon. Start date: 04/13/2026. 13-week travel assignment with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12 Days. Setting: Critical Access Hospital. Weekly pay range: $2,258 to $2,387.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,258–$2,387 per week- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: 3x12 Days- Start date: 04/13/2026- Facility/work setting: Critical Access Hospital (travel assignment)Responsibilities- Operate fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging systems during interventional and diagnostic procedures (vascular and cardiac catheterization) with attention to image quality, positioning, and procedural needs; post-process images and transmit to PACS; maintain ALARA and radiation safety compliance.- Scrub technologist duties when assigned: prepare and organize sterile instruments, catheters, wires, and trays; anticipate physician needs and maintain sterile technique during procedures.- Monitor role: serve as primary monitor for hemodynamic data when assigned; record pressures and events; ensure accurate documentation of supplies, contrast usage, and implants.- Peri-procedural support: assist with patient preparation, positioning, and connecting monitoring equipment; verify allergies, NPO status, and renal function; assist with sedation under direction of nursing staff.- Contrast management: collaborate with the team on contrast allergies and sensitivities; participate in pre-procedure discussions about contrast agents and safety measures.- Department support: manage supplies, restock procedure rooms, perform basic equipment checks, track radiation dose metrics, and help prepare the room for subsequent cases; communicate any equipment issues promptly.Requirements- Licensure: Current Oregon State licensure issued by OBMI; ARRT certification (RT[R]).- Certifications: Current BLS; ACLS certification (or within 6 months of hire).- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Preferred: BS in Radiologic Science/Medical Imaging.- Experience: At least 1 year in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab (managing fluoroscopy, scrubbing interventional cases).
