OverviewMRI Technologist – Radiology, MRI specialtyLocation: Burlington, Vermont, United StatesStart date: 10/19/2026Duration: 16 weeksShift: 8-hour evenings (5x8)Weekly pay: 3,512 to 3,719 per weekGuaranteed hours: 0Assignment type: Travel - Temporary AssignmentSetting: Hospital-based imaging department with inpatient and outpatient servicesKey Highlights- Weekly pay: 3,512–3,719 per week- Contract duration: 16 weeks- Shift: 8-hour evening shifts- Start date: 10/19/2026- No on-call requirement- Floating between inpatient and outpatient locations within the service area- Holidays: Travelers must work 2 of the 4 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day)- Epic exposure required; teaching hospital experience preferredResponsibilities- Perform MRI examinations for a variety of indications, following physician orders and department protocols- Prepare patients, explain procedures, obtain consent when required, and ensure patient safety during imaging- Position patients, select appropriate coils and sequences, and adjust parameters to optimize image quality- Monitor patients for comfort and safety; assess for contraindications and manage contrast administration as needed- Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and storage of imaging data; verify studies in the electronic medical record (Epic)- Maintain image quality standards, minimize artifacts, and communicate findings with radiologists per protocol- Float between inpatient and outpatient locations as assigned; adapt to unit needs and patient care priorities- Adhere to all safety guidelines for MRI environments, including screening, sedation as required, and infection control- Schedule considerations: no block scheduling; participate in unit coverage that aligns with patient care demands- Scheduling considerations include weekends (minimum every other weekend or 1–2 weekends per month) and holidays as noted in assignment detailsRequirements- Active ARRT or ARMRIT MR licensure; MR advanced licensure required- MRI Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency); BLS certification- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience- Epic experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)- Philips MRI system experience required- Prior travel experience preferred- Teaching hospital experience required- Ability to float between inpatient and outpatient settings within the assigned service areaBenefits and Support- Competitive weekly pay- Dedicated travel and assignment support from a specialized team- 24/7 recruiter and assignment support- Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays- Full credentialing assistance to support licensing and certification needs- Continuous coverage and resources to facilitate safe, compliant imaging practiceFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore other openings available, please visit Healthforce Healthcare LLC’s opportunities page at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
