Job Description

OverviewUltrasound Tech – Radiology, travel assignment in Hermiston, OR, United States. Start date May 18, 2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,361–$2,465 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40. Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour days (8:00 AM–6:30 PM). Employment type: Travel - temporary assignment in a critical access facility. This role requires OBMI and ARDMS registration as a US Sonographer, current BLS, and relevant ultrasound experience. Travel assignments may extend beyond 6 months, in which case CRASE training may be required.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,361–$2,465 per week- Guaranteed hours: 40 per week- Contract duration: 8 weeks- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour days (8:00 AM–6:30 PM)- Start date: May 18, 2026- Assignment setting: Travel - temporary assignment in a critical access facilityResponsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures across OB/GYN, abdomen, breast, vascular, and small parts to support diagnosis and treatment.- Corroborate patient clinical history with the procedure and document findings for licensed practitioners.- Prepare patients, provide pre-procedure instructions, obtain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.- Operate ultrasound equipment and transducers, position patients, and adjust settings to optimize image quality.- Evaluate images for technical quality, ensure proper identification, and assist with interventional procedures when needed.- Maintain aseptic technique, administer contrast media or medications as prescribed when permitted by policy, initiate basic life support if required.- Maintain patient records, protect confidentiality, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.- Serve as an in-house resource for peers and vendors when acting as an Advanced User; participate in training as needed.- Participate in continuing education to maintain licensure/certification and support department goals.Requirements- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree from a CAHEA-accredited sonography program or equivalent.- Licenses/ certifications: OBMI and ARDMS registered US Sonographer; current BLS certification.
