OverviewRegistered Nurse – Behavioral Health / PsychiatricGrand Rapids, Michigan, United StatesStart date: 06/15/2026Contract duration: 13 weeksWeekly pay: $1,854 – $1,928 per weekGuaranteed hours: 40 per weekShift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Evenings)Setting: community mental health providerType: Travel - Temporary AssignmentKey Highlights- Weekly pay: $1,854 – $1,928 per week- Guaranteed hours: 40 per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Evenings)- Start date: 06/15/2026- Work setting: community mental health provider- Potential for additional shifts up to 48 hours as neededResponsibilities- Apply nursing process to assess care needs, develop a plan of care with an interdisciplinary team, and continually reassess as needs evolve.- Provide and coordinate nursing care in collaboration with physicians for individuals and groups served.- Assist in patient and family teaching, milieu management, and discharge/aftercare planning.- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff in both individual and group settings.- Document, report, and verify information per established policies; monitor for safety risks and escalate to physicians as needed.- Serve as a clinical leader, delegating and coordinating staff assignments, promoting staff development, and contributing to protocol review and quality improvement.- May assist with medication management, scheduling, and pre-authorizations; support person-centered, recovery-focused care in various clinical settings.Requirements- Active Registered Nurse license in Michigan- BLS certification- Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience required- Pediatric behavioral health experience required- Ability to work in inpatient/residential behavioral health settings with diverse patient populations- Availability to work 40 hours per week, with potential to pick up additional shifts up to 48 hours; every-other-weekend schedule- Ability to complete required onboarding and credentialing for a travel assignmentBenefits and Support- Travel assignment with guaranteed hours- Assignment support from a dedicated recruiter and clinical placement team- Potential for shift extension based on program needsFind more opportunitiesIf you’re interested in other openings, you can view additional opportunities at Healthforce Healthcare LLC here: https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
