OverviewRegistered Nurse – ICU Float Pool (Travel) in Burlington, Vermont, United States. Start date 11/02/2026 for 16 weeks (potential extension to 26 weeks). Weekly pay range $2,507-$2,609 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 on/3 off. This travel assignment is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC in a hospital-based ICU float pool.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,507-$2,609 per week- Guaranteed hours: 0.0- Contract duration: 16 weeks (potential extension to 26 weeks)- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 on/3 off)- Start date: 11/02/2026- Setting: ICU float pool within a large teaching hospitalResponsibilities- Provide direct critical care nursing to adult ICU patients, including post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma and overflow neuro, and manage multiple titrating drips, ventilator care, and hemodynamic monitoring.- Initiate IV access, administer medications, and perform invasive procedures as needed; document patient data and care plans in the EMR (EPIC) within past 2 years.- Float across central ICU pool units and to units such as SICU, Miller 3, and Miller 4 as required, maintaining patient safety and clinical handoffs.- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition; adjust therapies per physician orders; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning.- Adhere to infection control and safety policies; manage multiple patients and prioritize care during high-demand periods; comply with scheduling requirements including availability to work holidays.- Maintain competency with equipment and drips, including CRRT, ventilators, and NIV/advanced respiratory support as needed.Requirements- Active RN license; eligible for travel assignment- Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS required; CCRN preferred; NIHSS required prior to start- Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU/CCU experience; prior travel experience; EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years; large teaching facility experience preferred- Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program- Additional: Ability to float to units outside own POD; reliable transportation required (public transport not available in the area) with winter tires recommended November–AprilBenefits and Support- Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays- Assignment support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC throughout the travel period- Access to ongoing recruiter and travel-related assistanceFind more opportunitiesInterested in other openings?
