OverviewRegistered Nurse, Emergency Department travel assignment in Middlebury, Vermont, United States. Start date 10/26/2026 for 16 weeks. Weekly pay $2,900-$3,115 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts. Setting: emergency department in a care setting outside of a traditional long-term arrangement.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,900-$3,115 per week- Guaranteed hours: 0- Contract duration: 16 weeks- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 per week)- Start date: 10/26/2026- Location: Middlebury, VT; emergency department settingResponsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the ED for a wide age range, including initial assessment, triage, and ongoing monitoring- Administer medications and IV therapies, manage drips/infusions, and perform procedures as ordered; monitor responses and adjust care as needed- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, IV placement, wound care, and other bedside procedures; support rapid assessment and emergency stabilization- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record; coordinate care with ED physicians, techs, and ancillary staff- Collaborate with the ED team and float to Med-Surg/Tele as needed to maintain patient flow and safe assignments (approximately 1:5 ratio on Med-Surg/Tele)- Participate in precepting or mentoring as needed and respond to codes or high-acuity events per unit protocolsRequirements- Education: Registered Nurse (ASN/BSN accepted)- Licensure: active RN license (state of assignment)- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC or TNCC (TNCC required or proof of class with date applied; NIHSS required prior to start; NRP preferred)- Experience: minimum 2 years of in-unit clinical experience; at least 2 years in the ED or relevant specialty; previous travel experience required (one travel assignment suffices); EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years; charge nurse experience preferred- Skills: ability to function in an ED setting and float to Med-Surg/Tele as needed; comfortable with ED procedures, triage, and inter-facility transports when requiredBenefits and Support- 24/7 recruiter and travel support- Fast credentialing process- Dedicated support throughout the assignment- Nationwide assignments- Extension opportunities beyond the initial contract- Assignment-specific orientation and ongoing guidanceFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore other openings, visit Healthforce Healthcare LLC opportunities at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPAY DISCLAIMER RULE:Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
