Job Description
OverviewER Registered Nurse travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont. Start date 11/16/2026 for 20 to 26 weeks in a hospital-based emergency department. Weekly pay ranges from $2,920 to $3,073. Shift is 12-hour rotating day/night. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. This assignment requires prior ER experience, EPIC EMR proficiency, and a set of advanced certifications for emergency care.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,920–$3,073- Assignment duration: 20–26 weeks (minimum 20 weeks, up to 26 weeks)- Shift: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts- Start date: 11/16/2026- Work setting: hospital-based ED in an urban, teaching environment- Certification emphasis: ongoing active certifications and pre-start credential verificationResponsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the ED, including triage, rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of acuity levels- Administer medications, IV therapies, and assist with emergent procedures under physician supervision- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EPIC EMR; ensure accurate and timely charting- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans- Participate in resuscitation efforts and de-escalation of agitated or anxious patients and families- Prepare patients for transfer, admission, discharge, and provide patient/family education as appropriateRequirements- A minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience- Prior travel nursing experience preferred- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC required; TNCC must be in packet or proof of class prior to start; NIHSS required prior to start- Additional: CEN, ENPC, MOAB, or ProAct de-escalation training preferred- Schedule flexibility: rotating 12-hour shifts; minimum requirement of every other weekend or schedule adjusted to unit needs; must be flexible with schedule- Large, teaching facility experience is preferredBenefits and Support- Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays- Assignment-specific support provided throughout the engagement- Structured credentialing and onboarding processes to facilitate startFind more opportunitiesIf you’re interested in other openings, you can explore additional roles at Healthforce Healthcare LLC by visiting https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
