Job Description

OverviewRegistered Nurse, Labor & Delivery (L&D) — Newport, Vermont. This travel, temporary assignment begins 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,538 to $2,741 per week and 36 guaranteed hours. Night shift. Work setting: hospital with a 25-bed critical access profile in the Northeast Kingdom. The role covers Labor & Delivery with Postpartum and Baby Unit responsibilities and requires the flexibility to float to other units as needed to support patient overflow.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,538–$2,741 per week- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: Nights- Start date: 04/27/2026- Setting: Rural, small-bed hospital in Newport, VT serving the Northeast KingdomResponsibilities- Provide direct patient care for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and newborn patients during night shifts.- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, assist with labor and delivery procedures, and participate in postpartum care per clinical protocols.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and manage overflow from the Progressive Care Unit; float to other units as needed.- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record, ensure patient safety and privacy, and uphold infection control and sterile technique.- Respond to obstetric emergencies, perform neonatal resuscitation when required, and escalate to appropriate providers as indicated.- Attend department quarterly education sessions as part of agency requirements and participate in ongoing credentialing processes.Requirements- Active Vermont RN license or eligibility for VT licensure- Current BLS certification; ACLS and/or NRP preferred- L&D/OB nursing experience preferred- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN)- Ability to work night shifts and float to other units as neededBenefits and Support- 24/7 recruiter and travel support- Dedicated support throughout the assignment- Agency onboarding and credentialing assistance- Quarterly department education sessions- Clear, timely communication and assignment updatesFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore additional openings, please visit Healthforce Healthcare LLC opportunities at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPAY DISCLAIMER RULEPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
