Job Description

OverviewRegistered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Mauston, WI. This travel assignment begins on 08/08/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,052 to $2,085 per week, with guaranteed 32 hours per week. Shift is a 3x12 rotating schedule, including night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and weekend rotation. The role is in a short-term acute care setting with potential cross-training to Med/Surg and EICU as needed.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,052–$2,085 per week- Guaranteed hours: 32 per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: 3x12 rotating; night shifts and weekend rotation per schedule- Start date: 08/08/2026- Setting: maternal/newborn care with cross-training to Med/Surg/EICU as needed- Travel assignment with dedicated support from Healthforce Healthcare LLCResponsibilities- Provide quality nursing care for maternal and newborn patients; complete initial histories and develop patient-centered care plans- Appropriately triage patient concerns and monitor labor progression; manage induction and cervical ripening- Administer medications accurately and respond to obstetric emergencies (e.g., prolapsed cord, breech delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, precipitous delivery)- Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring; recognize when higher-level care is required- Assess and manage pregnancy-related conditions such as hypertension and diabetes- Assess newborn status, recognize needs for heightened surveillance, perform neonatal resuscitation within scope, monitor for sepsis, hypoglycemia, hypothermia, and jaundice; provide newborn education to families- Communicate effectively with the patient’s care team and involve families in care decisions; perform other duties as requestedRequirements- Wisconsin Registered Nursing license (active required)- Education: Two-year degree in nursing required; Four-year degree in nursing preferred- Certifications: AHA BLS within 1 month of hire; NRP within 6 months; STABLE within 1 year; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 1 year- Experience: OB/maternal-newborn nursing experience preferred; cross-training to Med/Surg/EICU as needed- Ability to work in a labor and delivery/maternal-newborn setting and participate in unit cross-training as requiredBenefits and Support- Guaranteed hours: 32 per week- Assignment length: 13 weeks- Weekly pay: $2,052–$2,085- Recruitment and assignment support provided throughout the contract- Credentialing coordination and onboarding assistanceFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore other openings at Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please visit https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply to view current postings and apply.PAY DISCLAIMERPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
