OverviewRegistered Nurse - Med Surg travel assignment in Portland, Oregon. Start date 10/12/2026 for 13 weeks. Earn $1,838–$1,993 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 3x12 nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Work setting: short term acute care hospital. The assignment supports coordinated nursing care for a patient or group of patients, supervision of nursing staff, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams within a Med Surg service line.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $1,838–$1,993 per week- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: 3x12 nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM- Start date: 10/12/2026- Setting: Med Surg in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital- EPIC experience required- Travel assignment, temporary positionResponsibilities- Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care for Med Surg patients following the nursing process.- Collect relevant data, perform assessments, identify care needs, develop and implement a plan, and evaluate patient outcomes.- Coordinate care with the health care team, supervise and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, and ensure safe, patient-centered care.- Collaborate with patients, families, and other clinicians; participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care.- Document care and interventions in the electronic health record (EPIC) and advocate for patient safety, comfort, and education.Requirements- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (Oregon) or eligible in the state of assignment- Minimum of two years of recent acute care nursing experience; Med Surg experience preferred- BLS or Basic Life Support certification from an approved vendor; CPR certification or equivalent required- Facility-specific BLS: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required- EPIC experience required- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and meet assignment needs- Vaccination requirements per policy and employment regulationsBenefits and Support- Dedicated assignment support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC- 24/7 recruiter and travel support during the assignment- Credentialing and onboarding coordination to expedite start- Compliance and eligibility assistance to support seamless placementFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore other openings available through Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please visit https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
