Job Description

OverviewMed Surg RN (Oncology) – Travel assignment in Olympia, WA. Start date: 06/30/2026. This 3x12 night shift position is on a short-term acute care unit that serves adult oncology patients on a medical/surgical service with telemetry. Weekly pay ranges from $1,670 to $1,803 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Setting: hospital-based Med/Surg unit.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $1,670–$1,803 per week- Shift: 3x12 Nights- Start date: 06/30/2026- Setting: short-term acute care hospital with an oncology medical/surgical unit- Typical census: approximately 26 patients; telemetry monitored- Orientation: 24 hoursResponsibilities- Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to adult oncology patients on a Med/Surg telemetry unit.- Administer medications (including IV therapy), manage peripheral lines, and monitor for adverse effects.- Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition; participate in rapid response or code events as needed.- Implement isolation precautions and PPE per infection control guidelines; maintain safety and comfort for patients and families.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Work, Rapid Response, Transport, Unit Secretary) to coordinate patient care.- Document thoroughly in the charting system, update care plans, and support effective discharge planning.Requirements- Active RN license in Washington State- Minimum 1 year RN experience; oncology experience required; 3+ years med-surg experience and prior charge experience preferred- BLS certification required; OCN preferred- Proficiency with EPIC charting system- Ability to work 3x12 night shifts with within-pod floating as needed- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program; eligible for RN licensure in WABenefits and Support- 24/7 recruiter and travel support- Dedicated support throughout the assignment- Fast credentialing processes- Housing assistance (as offered for assignments)- Nationwide assignments- Extension opportunities- Referral bonus up to $1,000Find more opportunitiesIf this role isn’t a fit, explore other nursing travel openings at Healthforce Healthcare LLC by visiting https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPAY DISCLAIMER RULEPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
