Job Description
OverviewRegistered Nurse – Med Surg in Portland, Oregon for a travel, temporary assignment. Start date: 10/12/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,902-$1,967 per week. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12), totaling about 36 hours per week. In this role you’ll provide focused nursing care to a patient population in an acute-care–style setting, supervise assigned nursing staff, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $1,902-$1,967 per week- Contract length: 13 weeks- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12)- Assigned location: Portland, OR- Setting: Med Surg, travel assignment- Hours per week: 36Responsibilities- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or group of patients following the nursing process and established standards of care.- Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, implement interventions, and document nursing actions and outcomes.- Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for adverse effects and notify the appropriate team members as needed.- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team; participate in hand-offs and care planning to support safe transitions.- Maintain patient safety and privacy, adhere to infection control practices, and respond to changes in patient condition with clinical judgment and independent thinking.Requirements- Active Registered Nurse license (state requirements as applicable)- Med Surg nursing experience in a fast-paced setting- Ability to work Nights and maintain the 12-hour shift schedule- Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills- Demonstrated clinical judgment and independence in delivering patient careBenefits and Support- Travel assignment support with dedicated recruiter and ongoing assistance- Assignment length of 13 weeks, with structured scheduling- Payment processing with weekly pay cycles- Access to housing options and related support where available- Comprehensive credentialing and compliance assistance throughout the assignmentFind more opportunitiesIf you are exploring other openings, you can apply for additional listings at Healthforce Healthcare LLC by visiting https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
