OverviewRegistered Nurse - Operating Room (OR) for a travel assignment in a hospital setting located in Boston, MA. Start date 10/05/2026 for 14 weeks. This assignment requires proficiency across multiple surgical services and a flexible approach to the OR schedule.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,693–$2,848 per week- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week- Contract duration: 14 weeks- Shift: 12-hour shifts- Start date: 10/05/2026- Work setting: travel OR in a hospital environment- On-call and holiday/weekend coverage as outlined in assignmentResponsibilities- Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric patients across multiple surgical specialties, including general, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine.- Scrub and circulate in the operating room, maintain sterile technique, anticipate instrument needs, and assist the surgical team throughout procedures.- Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery; assist anesthesia and respond to intraoperative events with composure and clear communication.- Document patient care activities, equipment usage, and postoperative handoffs; ensure patient safety and adherence to best-practice protocols.- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, circulating staff, and post-anesthesia care to optimize outcomes; participate in turnover and room readiness.- May float to another OR area as needed to support service lines; comply with scheduling requirements including on-call and weekend/holiday coverage.Requirements- 2+ years of inpatient OR experience; level 1 trauma experience preferred.- Scrub experience required.- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.- Competent in at least five of the listed surgical service areas; able to adapt to a multi-specialty OR environment.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume OR setting and communicate effectively with the surgical team.Benefits and Support- 36 guaranteed hours per week on a 12-hour shift schedule- 14-week assignment duration- Local rate consideration for candidates within 50 miles of the facility (local rate is $10 less than the posted rate)- Dedicated assignment support and clinical coordination through Healthforce Healthcare LLCFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore other openings from Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please visit https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply to view additional travel nurse positions and related opportunities.PAY DISCLAIMER RULEPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
