Job Description

OverviewRegistered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) in Rochester, New York, United States. Start date: 06/08/2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,031–$2,092 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 12-hour shifts (3x12) on a rotating D/E/N schedule with on-call/callback, holidays and weekends as needed per unit. Setting: hospital operating room.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,031–$2,092 per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: 12-hour rotating schedule (3x12), on-call/callback- Start date: 06/08/2026- Setting: hospital operating room- On-call, holidays and weekends per unit needsResponsibilities- Scrub and circulate for a wide range of OR cases, including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma (level 1 trauma center). Support transplant cases (livers, kidneys, hearts) and use of DaVinci robotic systems as needed.- Prepare instruments and supplies, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative period. Assist anesthesia, monitor telemetry as applicable, and document perioperative care.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, anticipate intraoperative needs, manage equipment and implants, and participate in patient care planning for complex surgical cases.- Float and provide coverage across perioperative services per unit needs; respond to on-call and callbacks in a timely manner; adhere to trauma center standards and unit protocols.- Contribute to post-operative care coordination, including handoffs with the recovery team and accurate documentation of intraoperative events.Requirements- Active Registered Nurse license in New York (NY RN)- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required- Two (2) years operating room experience required- Able to scrub and circulate- Telemetry experience or capability required- Level 1 trauma hospital experience highly desired- ACLS certification preferredBenefits and Support- Assignment-specific support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC with a dedicated recruiter- 24/7 travel and clinical support throughout the assignment- Credentialing and onboarding guidance to facilitate start- Transparent pay and assignment details discussed during hiringFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore additional openings by Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please apply at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPAY DISCLAIMERPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
