Job Description
OverviewRegistered Nurse – Stepdown in Helena, MT. This travel assignment starts 10/11/2026 for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,076–$2,201 and guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 12-hour nights on a 12x3 schedule in a healthcare facility setting.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,076–$2,201 per week- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week- Contract weeks: 13- Shift: 12-hour Nights, 12x3- Start date: 10/11/2026- Setting: healthcare facility in Helena, MTResponsibilities- Provide direct patient care for stepdown-level patients, including monitoring, administering medications, IV therapy, and ongoing assessments; implement and adjust care plans per physician orders.- Float to stepdown/ICU and medical-surgical units as needed, maintaining safe, effective care within unit protocols.- Maintain appropriate patient-to-nurse ratios and prioritize patient safety, using critical thinking to escalate concerns.- Document thoroughly in the Epic EMR, including assessments, plan of care, and timely communication with the care team.- Respond to codes as trained (BLS/ACLS) and support interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and discharge planning.Requirements- 2 years of Stepdown experience; prior travel experience required- BLS and ACLS certification required- Epic EMR experience- Ability to float between medical floor, stepdown/ICU, and surgical/oncology units as assigned- 200-mile radius rule applies; all RTO or schedule requests must be submitted with submittal- Please load all demographic information at submittal (address, email, full DOB, SSN, full name) as part of the application processBenefits and Support- 24/7 recruiter and travel support- Dedicated support throughout the assignment- Fast credentialing- Nationwide assignments- Housing assistance options- Extension opportunities- Referral bonus up to $1,000Find more opportunitiesIf this specific assignment isn’t the right fit, you can view and apply for other RN travel openings with Healthforce Healthcare LLC by visiting https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
