OverviewRegistered Respiratory Therapist – specialty: Registered Respiratory TherapistBurlington, Vermont, United StatesStart date: May 18, 2026Duration: 4 weeksWeekly pay: $2,148–$2,208 per weekGuaranteed hours: not guaranteedShift: 3x12-hour night shiftsSetting: hospital-based travel assignmentThis is a travel assignment for a Respiratory Therapist in an inpatient, hospital-based setting. The role requires mobilizing quickly for a short-term assignment with flexible weekend coverage and no on-call requirement.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,148–$2,208 per week- Contract duration: 4 weeks- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 per week- Start date: May 18, 2026- Setting: inpatient hospital-based respiratory care- Epic experience required (within past 2 years)- RRT required; CRT not accepted- Teaching hospital experience preferredResponsibilities- Provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult ICU and ED patients, including ventilator management, airway care, bronchodilators, suctioning, and therapy modalities per physician orders.- Monitor patient status, interpret ABG results, adjust therapies, and document interventions in the EMR system (Epic) in a timely, accurate manner.- Support NICU level III patients; PICU experience is preferred; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.- Participate in rounds, communicate changes to the care team, and educate patients and families on respiratory therapies as appropriate.- Maintain equipment readiness, ensure infection control practices, and perform routine checks on respiratory support devices.- Weekend coverage as needed; no on-call requirement; maintain schedule flexibility to meet unit needs.Requirements- Active Respiratory Therapist license on file; must be RRT (no CRT accepted)- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NBRC Verification, NRP- A minimum of 1 year of professional experience; prior travel experience preferred- Teaching hospital experience required- Epic experience within the past 2 years is required- Able to work in a fast-paced inpatient hospital setting- Documentation of all employment history gaps and complete work history information as applicableBenefits and Support- Fast credentialing- Dedicated assignment support throughout the contract- Access to clinical and travel resources to assist with onboarding and housing logistics- Ongoing recruiter support to address questions during the assignmentFind more opportunitiesIf this opening isn’t a perfect fit, you can explore additional physician, nursing, and allied health opportunities at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPAY DISCLAIMERPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
