Job Description

Travel ICU RN – Nights

Location: Carlsbad, New MexicoStart: ASAPDuration: 13 weeksShift: Nights | 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Position Details

  • Unit: ICU (12 beds)

  • Ratios: 1:2–3

  • EMR: MedHost

  • Scrubs: Any color

  • Call: None

  • Holidays: Required

  • 48-hour guarantees: Not approved

  • Blocked scheduling: Possible (must be included in submittal)

  • Fingerprints required for all NM travelers

Requirements

  • 2+ years ICU experience

  • BLS & ACLS (required)

  • ER & Med-Surg experience (required)

  • TNCC (preferred)

  • Experience with:

    • Ventilators

    • Titrated drips

    • Medication mixing

    • Total patient care & hygiene

Floating Requirements (Required)

  • Floating to ER & Med-Surg

  • Float rotation tracked via ICU float log (may be overridden by leadership based on unit needs)

  • ER Float: No patient assignment; assist with meds, IVs, labs, transports, call lights

  • Med-Surg Float:

    • Full assignment up to 6 patients, or

    • Act as aide for up to 12 patients
