Travel Telemetry Nurse Wichita, KS 13 weeks Shift- 7am- 7pm

General Information
Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds- 37 Number of Staff – 12 Type of staff: Day Shift –8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs, 1 Unit Clerk Night Shift- 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs Patient Ratios – 1:6; 1:4 for Heart Cath patients Type of equipment –PCA Pumps; IV pumps; Chest Tubes EMR -Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Minimum 1-year current acute care Telemetry experience BLS & ACLS Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. Prior experience traveling to large teaching facilities Prior Meditech experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Central lines; Medication drips Heart Cath recovery; Bubble studies Best personality Fit: Positive Attitude/Engaged; Independent; Strong critical thinking skills
