Job Description
Personnel Resources is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Traveling Roofing Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This position does require relocating to Dothan, AL and relocation assistance is available. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, a firm knowledge of multiple roofing systems and their installation practices, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to manage various trades and subcontractors effectively.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Must be capable and willing to travel extensively to military bases, school and prison systems, along with other government facilities throughout the United States.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, laborers, and materials to maintain project timelines.
- Review schematics and blueprints to ensure proper implementation of designs.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and enforce safety regulations.
- Oversee heavy lifting operations and ensure safe handling of materials.
- Utilize power tools effectively while maintaining safety standards on-site.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Commercial Roofing Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required by the job.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
