Traveling Facility Maintenance Superintendent

Location: New England Region (Travel Required) Schedule: Sunday Overnight Thursday Overnight Salary: $110,000 $130,000 (based on experience) Benefits: Full healthcare, truck allowance, gas card

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Traveling Facility Maintenance Superintendent to oversee and perform facility maintenance operations across commercial buildings throughout the New England region. This role requires extensive travel and the ability to work overnight shifts (Sunday night through Thursday night). The ideal candidate is experienced, dependable, and willing to roll up their sleeves to ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and perform facility maintenance and repair work across multiple commercial properties.

  • Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure work is completed on schedule and up to quality standards.

  • Perform hands-on work as needed, including:

    • HVAC systems troubleshooting and repair

    • Commercial refrigeration service and maintenance

    • Drywall installation and repair

    • Flooring installation and repair

  • Conduct regular site inspections and proactively identify issues before they escalate.

  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and building codes.

  • Maintain accurate logs, work orders, and reporting for all completed projects.

  • Collaborate with property management and facility staff to resolve maintenance concerns.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in facility maintenance, commercial construction, or related field.

  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, commercial refrigeration, drywall, and flooring.

  • Ability to manage multiple sites and coordinate maintenance schedules.

  • Proven track record of leading crews and working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Willingness and physical ability to perform hands-on maintenance work.

  • Must be available to work overnight shifts (Sunday through Thursday).

  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $110,000 $130,000 (based on experience)
