Traveling Superintendent – Commercial Construction
Location: Nationwide (Candidates can reside anywhere in the U.S.) Travel: Required – Home approximately once per month
Overview
A well-established commercial general contractor headquartered in Wichita is seeking experienced Traveling Superintendents to join their growing team. With a strong national project backlog, this opportunity offers long-term stability and the chance to work on a wide range of commercial construction projects across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day field operations on assigned projects
- Manage project schedules, subcontractors, and site safety
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders
- Drive projects to successful, on-time completion
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
- Background managing projects in one or more of the following sectors:
- Hospitality
- Data centers
- Multifamily
- Commercial projects ($15M – $60M range)
- Additional opportunities available for those experienced in:
- Restaurants
- Retail
- Light commercial projects
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base compensation
- Weekly per diem
- $600/month vehicle allowance
- Fuel reimbursement
- Project completion bonus (paid within 60 days of project completion)
