$40–$45/hr Base + Prevailing Wage + Per Diem | Company Truck | Home Every Weekend
B.L. Spille Construction has been building since 1963. We specialize in MRI, CT, X-ray, and cath lab suites, imaging centers, and medical facilities for clients including GE Healthcare, Siemens, and Mercy, along with select commercial and industrial projects.
We're hiring TWO experienced Traveling Superintendents to join our growing field team.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Own your job sites from preconstruction through closeout, managing subcontractors, schedules, inspections, quality, safety, and client relationships.
Most healthcare projects run 30–45 days, often within active hospitals. Larger renovations typically run 3–6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily field operations, subcontractors, and suppliers
Coordinate schedules and milestones with Project Managers
Manage inspections, weekly meetings, and daily reporting
Enforce OSHA and healthcare infection-control standards
Work directly with owners, architects, engineers, and equipment vendors
Mentor field staff and maintain high standards for quality and safety
PAY & INCENTIVES
Base pay: $40–$45/hour, depending on experience (approximately $83,200–$93,600 annually based on a 40-hour workweek)
Prevailing wage: Qualifying projects pay higher prevailing wage rates, potentially increasing hourly earnings by approximately 50% over base while assigned to those projects
Project incentives: Additional earning opportunities through the company's project incentive plan
Paid travel time: Drive time to and from assigned job sites is compensated
Actual annual earnings depend on project assignments, prevailing wage eligibility, and applicable incentives.
TRAVEL & SCHEDULE
Monday–Thursday: Four 10-hour workdays
Home every weekend: Travel during the workweek, with weekends at home
Regional projects: Primarily KY, OH, IN, TN, WV, and PA
Company truck: Provided after a 30-day introductory period
Per diem: $40–$60 per day while traveling for projects
Hotel accommodations: Fully paid by the company
Fuel: Fully covered by the company

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5+ years as a commercial construction superintendent
5+ years in healthcare, hospital, or medical facility construction
Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, codes, and sequencing
Basic Microsoft 365 proficiency
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
OSHA and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred
Must live within approximately one hour of Erlanger, KY
