TRUCK & EQUIPMENT BODY TECHNICIAN - $35/hrHTM CONTRACTORS, INC | Honolulu, HI
Fleet Repair • Equipment Refurbishing • Vehicle Flips HI-LUX CUSTOMS is looking for a skilled Truck & Equipment Body Technician to join our team.
We repair and refurbish commercial trucks, heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles, as well as occasional classic and custom builds. Most of our work involves in-house repairs, bodywork, paint prep, and rebuilding trucks and equipment we flip for resale. If you enjoy hands-on work, rebuilding equipment, and bringing vehicles back to life, this is a great opportunity.Pay & Schedule:
- $35 per hour
- Monday- Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM
- Weekly Pay
- No weekend work

The Work:
Typical work includes
- Our shop supports multiple businesses in the HTM Group
- Repairing and refurbishing commercial trucks
- Body repair and paint work on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment
- Rebuilding trucks and equipment we purchase, refurbish, and resell
- Fabrication and modifications for dumpsters and hooklift trucks
- Occasional classic car and custom builds
Bodywork & Paint
- Dent repair and metal straightening
- Rust repair and panel replacement
- Sanding, masking, priming, and block work
- Preparing vehicles and equipment for paint
- Basecoat / clearcoat application
- Paint touch-ups and refinishing
Equipment and Truck Repairs
- Repair damage on fleet trucks and heavy equipment
- Assist with disassembly and reassembly during repairs
- Support mechanical repairs when needed
- Perform minor fabrication or modifications
Shop Support
- Maintain organized and clean work area
- Coordinate with mechanics and supervisor on repairs
- Assist in preparing trucks and equipment for resale
Requirements:
- Experience with auto body repair or equipment bodywork
- Ability to perform sanding, prep work, and body repairs
- Experience working on trucks or heavy equipment is a plus
- Mechanical experience is helpful but not required diagnostics-repair & maintenance
- Ability to work independently
