A Truss Assembler is a critical component of the process of manufacturing our truss products.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of truss assemblers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to optimize their performance.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and diagrams to understand truss specifications and construction requirements.
- Use hand and power tools, such as saws, nail guns, and drills, to assemble wooden truss components accurately.
- Measure and mark lumber according to specific dimensions and angles per blueprints.
- Ensure precise alignment and positioning of truss components for accurate assembly.
- Conduct thorough inspections of assembled truss components to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with specifications.
- Identify and rectify any defects or errors to maintain high-quality production.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Properly handle and store tools and equipment. Report any potential safety hazards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, including designers, engineers, and other assemblers, to coordinate truss assembly activities.
- Communicate any challenges that may affect production timelines or quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure their proper functioning. Report any malfunctioning equipment for repair or replacement.
- Maintain accurate records (completed truss assemblies, production quantities, etc.)
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking and reporting of material usage.
- Other duties as assigned.
