Job Description
Our client, an established Estate Planning law firm in Glastonbury, Connecticut, seeks a Trusts and Estates Paralegal with more than two years of relevant experience. The firm is seeking a driven, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a client-focused environment and is eager to make a difference in peoples' lives.
What You'll Do- Trusts and Estates Paralegal- Draft legal documents and court forms.
- Resolve complex client matters with accuracy, discretion, and timeliness.
- Coordinate with financial institutions and third-party service providers to obtain account information and supporting documentation.
- Review, interpret, and work confidently with bank statements, brokerage reports, and other financial documents.
- Draft Probate Court forms and estate tax returns.
- Maintain strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Monitor and manage critical deadlines and key milestones across assigned matters to ensure nothing is overlooked.
- Work independently while remaining accountable, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Maintain a client-first mindset and consistently deliver a high standard of client service.
- A minimum of two years of Trusts & Estate administration paralegal experience in Connecticut.
- Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate, preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Possess a growth-oriented mindset with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- The ability to prioritize competing tasks meeting multiple deadlines.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Exhibit a thoughtful and proactive work style, including active listening, asking questions, performing analysis and taking appropriate action.
- The demeanor to support clients with empathy through the estate administration and probate processes.
- Competitive base salary commensurate with relevant experience.
- This work location is on-site in Glastonbury, Connecticut.
- Eligibility for a hybrid workday after six months of employment.
