We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tube Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating advanced laser cutting machinery to precisely cut and shape metal tubes and sheets according to detailed specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in CNC laser cutting and programming, and a thorough understanding of blueprint reading and quality inspection standards. Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate tube laser cutting machines to produce components that meet exact specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to determine cutting parameters and tooling requirements.
• Program CNC laser machines using appropriate software to optimize cutting paths and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment, including cleaning lenses, aligning components, and troubleshooting issues.
• Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure proper handling of sheet metal and tubing materials.
• Utilize hand tools and fabrication equipment such as press brakes, welding tools, and stamping presses for secondary operations.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to laser operation, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Document production data accurately for traceability and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist in setup adjustments for different projects while minimizing material waste.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines with knowledge of CNC programming.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in fabrication processes such as welding, stamping, and machining.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Skilled in using precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Knowledge of various manufacturing equipment including press brakes, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and tooling setups.
• Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing setting.
• Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality control assessments.
• Familiarity with sheet metal handling, fabrication techniques, and quality inspection standards.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
