Short Job Description

The Arizona Department of Economic Security (AZDES) is seeking a UI Adjudicator (Benefits & Eligibility Specialist) to review and determine eligibility for public assistance programs through interviews, fact-finding, and case analysis. Responsibilities include verifying application information, communicating with claimants and stakeholders, explaining policies and regulations, resolving customer concerns, and making eligibility determinations. This position requires strong customer service, communication, and analytical skills.

Location: Phoenix, AZ (100% Onsite)Start Date: September 8, 2026 (must be available for expedited onboarding)Training: Approximately 7 weeks, fully onsite. Opportunity for conversion to Full-Time Employment (FTE) after training.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of customer service experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite

Preferred Qualifications

Experience performing eligibility reviews
Previous insurance adjudicator experience
