What You’ll Do

• Verify physician orders and procedure details to ensure accuracy.
• Operate ultrasound equipment independently according to established protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients to support understanding and comfort.
• Review images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met.
• Complete timely quality control procedures and perform notification/remediation as needed.
• Use radiology information systems to support patient care workflow.
• Assist with departmental operations (e.g., inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance) as needed.
• Adapt communication and approach to diverse patient populations while maintaining privacy and professionalism.

What You NeedRequired

• Completion of a CAHEA-approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography
• 2 years of sonographer experience
• Maternal Fetal Medicine experience
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (current ARDMS certification)
• Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty based on facility need
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g., 24/7, weekends, holidays, and possible on-call availability)
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web-based applications

Preferred

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification (required within two years of hire)
