Job Description
Title: Ultrasound Tech / SonographerLocation: Grand Junction, CO 81501Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)Shifts: Evening Shift – 4 x 10 HRCompensation: Local: $60/hr (W2)Travel: $2700/weekly (1242 Stipend Incl)Job Summary:Performs ultrasound procedures to obtain diagnostic imaging results according to physician specifications. Responsible for patient preparation, image acquisition, and ensuring quality diagnostic studies for radiologist interpretation.Responsibilities
- Perform general and vascular ultrasound procedures while ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
- Educate, position, transfer, and assist patients during examinations following physician orders and department protocols
- Submit images and clinical information for radiologist interpretation and coordinate timely patient care
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, supplies, sterile technique, and infection prevention standards
- On-call requirements to be discussed during interview
- Must be proficient in all general and vascular ultrasound exams
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills required
- Experience in a fast-paced acute care setting preferred
- Computer proficiency and familiarity with imaging systems required
