Job Store Staffing is hiring Front Lobby, Unarmed Security Guard to support a secure, youth-centered facility in the Grand Junction, CO area! This role is focused on maintaining a safe and controlled entry point while providing a professional and respectful presence.The Unarmed Security Guard is a non-engagement role. If suspicious activity is observed, you will report it via radio rather than intervene directlyPay rate: $23/hrSchedules Available:Monday-Friday; 6am-2pmMonday-Friday; 12pm-8pmSaturday & Sunday; 6am-2pmSaturday & Sunday; 12pm-8pmKey Responsibilities:Search all bags, deliveries, and personal items entering the facilityMonitor individuals passing through a metal detectorConduct wanding or pat-downs when necessaryEnsure only approved items are brought insidePerform exterior walkthroughs to observe for suspicious activity (as needed)Identify concerns such as attempted fence breaches or contrabandQualifications:Must be 21 years of age or olderPrevious security experience OR strong customer service backgroundComfortable enforcing rules in a professional and respectful mannerAbility to remain alert, calm, and composed in a structured environmentStrong communication skillsWork Environment & Requirements:Weapon-free facilityNo phones or personal electronics allowed inside (must be left in vehicle)Business casual dress code (belt and closed-toe shoes required)If you are dependable, observant, and know how to balance authority with professionalism, this is a solid opportunity to step into a structured and meaningful security role.
