Job Description
- Patrolling: Conducting foot or vehicle patrols to inspect doors, windows, and gates, ensuring they are secure.
- Access Control: Managing entry and exit points, checking IDs, and authorizing visitors.
- Surveillance: Monitoring security cameras, alarms, and surveillance equipment to detect irregularities.
- Incident Response & Reporting: Responding to emergencies, investigating suspicious activity, and writing detailed Daily Activity Reports (DAR).
- Safety & Prevention: Identifying hazards, preventing, and de-escalating dangerous situations without the use of firearms.
- Customer Service: Acting as a point of contact to provide directions and assistance to staff or visitors.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensing: State-mandated security guard license/guard card (Class D).
- Background Check: Clean criminal record.
- Skills: Strong communication, vigilance, alertness, and proficiency in basic technology (e.g., CCTV, computer reports) if required by client.
- Experience: Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is welcomed.
- YOU MUST be able to read, write and converse in English.
- Bilingual in Spanish, French or Creole a huge plus.
- Unarmed guards are often stationed in construction sites.
- YOU MUST be able to work outside in the elements if needed.
- YOU MUST physically be able to conduct your all your duties.
- YOU MUST be able to work in a safe and respectful manner.
- YOU MUST be able to pass an Orange County Florida drug and background test/check.
- YOU MUST be able to work 40+ hours and on the weekends if needed.
- YOU MUST have reliable transportation to the job.
- PLEASE NO SLACKERS, YOU WILL BE SENT HOME.
- YOU MUST always wear construction PPE on the job site, which consist of construction attire meaning long pants, construction boots that cover the ankle and must be either composite toe of steel toe, class 2 hardhat, a safety vest, eye and ear protection if needed.
- YOU MUST have a neat and clean appearance at all times.
