Unarmed Security Officer

Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Unarmed Security Officer to service our customers in the Las Vegas area. The unarmed security officer will protect property, assets and personnel of our contracted site/customer. This role requires a highly responsible individual capable of maintaining safety and security in various environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in unarmed Security with the ability to respond effectively to emergencies and maintain order.

Duties

• Monitor premises and report findings when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents and/or emergencies.
• Enforce security policy and procedures regarding the post orders to prevent theft, vandalism or unauthorized access.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and conflict management skills.
• Document incidents thoroughly through detailed reports.
• Assist with loss prevention strategies to safeguard assets and inventory.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary during investigations or incidents.
• Perform access control duties by verifying credentials and maintaining secure entry points.

Skills

• Valid and active PILB Unarmed Guard Card.
• Proven experience in law enforcement, military service, or security operations as a guard is preferred.
• Strong surveillance skills preferred.
• Excellent conflict management and de-escalation abilities.
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security protocols.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Strong Communication skills.
• Strong report writing skills for incidents and shift reports.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of integrity and discretion
