Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer Location: Jersey City, NJCompany: Colonial Security ServicesAs a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, customers, and assets. You will enforce company policies and procedures, respond to emergencies, and conduct patrols to ensure the security of our facilities.Responsibilities- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, both on foot and/or by vehicle, to deter unauthorized access, prevent incidents, and ensure the security of premises- Utilize surveillance cameras and other monitoring equipment to observe activity on the premises, identify potential security threats, and take appropriate action when necessary - Enforce company security policies and procedures, including acces control measures, visitor management, and property protection protocols- Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, such as medical emergencies, fires, or disturbances, and take appropriate action to resolve the situation - Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors, and customers - Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness - Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies as needed to report incidents, provide assistance and facilitate investigations Qualifications - Current and valid NJ SORA Card- High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in security highly preferred - Strong observational and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Ability to perform security duties, including standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or moving objects
