Job Description:

Berklee College of Music Valencia Campus is seeking applications for part-time music instructors in multiple areas for the undergraduate study abroad program. Possible subjects may include harmony/tonal harmony, ear training, conducting, counterpoint, musicology, and songwriting. This position reports to the Director of Study Abroad and Special Programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in music or equivalent in an appropriate field
  • Must be able to speak and teach in English fluently
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Active professional within their field
  • Student centered approach to teaching
  • Valid working permit for Spain / Europe required

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in teaching or related field
  • 3-5 years of teaching experience in higher education, particularly with undergraduate students
  • An understanding of US higher education system
  • Instrumental skills that can be applied to the teaching of fundamental music concepts
  • Familiarity with Berklee undergraduate curriculum
