Description

Rapid growth across major infrastructure and data center projects means steady work, real leadership opportunities, and a strong focus on safety and production in the region. In this Underground Utility Superintendent opportunity with a respected heavy civil team delivering critical underground infrastructure across Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas. You’ll lead a crew for water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems while working safely in fast-paced field conditions.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Underground Utility Superintendent position include:

Underground utility experience leading field crews, with a strong preference for water, sewer, and storm drain experience and deep excavation/trench box work.
Lead and mentor a crew (typically a 5-person team) while staying hands-on as a working superintendent.
Enforce safety and compliance, including OSHA trenching/excavation and confined space requirements; conduct daily safety meetings.
Read and interpret plans/specifications, set grades and layouts using survey equipment (GPS/lasers), and ensure quality execution.
Coordinate daily work with project managers, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and utility locators.
Manage materials, tools, and heavy equipment to keep production moving.
Maintain daily job logs, production reports, timecards/quantity tracking, and as-built documentation.

Salary: $30-$45/hour (DOE). $175 per diem.

Benefits: UnitedHealthcare medical insurance is available after 60 days, a 401(k) with company match, company bonuses, and PTO starting at one week (with longer-tenure employees receiving up to three weeks).
