What does a Upper School MATH AND SCIENCE Teacher do?
As a Full Time Upper School Math and Science Teacher at James Island Christian School, you will play an instrumental role in integrating biblical principles and a Christian worldview into your curriculum. Your lessons will reflect varying levels of biblical integration, ensuring that students not only grasp math and science concepts but also build a strong connection between their academic learning and spiritual development. To excel as a Full Time Upper School Math and Science Teacher at James Island Christian School, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in education or a related field, along with a certification from the state of South Carolina and/or the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), or be eligible for certification. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for effectively delivering lessons that integrate a biblical worldview while engaging students in the learning process. Proficiency in educational software and tools will aid in submitting lesson plans, posting grades, and managing classroom activities. Additionally, a passion for fostering both academic excellence and spiritual growth is crucial, enabling you to inspire students and support their comprehensive development in a Christ-centered environment.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Certified by the state of South Carolina and/or Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) or eligible for certification.
