Upper School Spanish Teacher

St. Luke’s School, a secular, college-preparatory day school serving grades 5 through 12 in New Canaan, Connecticut, seeks a full-time teacher of Spanish to join its award-winning World Language (WL) Department.  The St. Luke’s WL team includes 6 Spanish teachers, 4 French teachers, and 3 Mandarin teachers.  The WL program is known regionally and nationally for its innovations, use of cutting-edge technology, and total immersion modern language classes. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Teach full-time load of 4 Upper School Spanish classes.
• Participate in an after-school activity for three seasons (e.g., athletic coaching).
• Serve as co-advisor for a group of 6 to 8 students.
• Assist with supervisory duties, such as study hall proctoring, lunchroom supervision, and chaperoning events.
