Summary:
The Rental Sales Engineer serves as the commercial and technical interface between Sure Power’s customers and the Rental Operations team. This individual rapidly evaluates customer power requirements, develops technically sound rental solutions, prepares accurate quotations, and manages opportunities from initial inquiry through successful project execution.
Essential Duties:
Customer Opportunity and Quote Management
- Respond to inbound customer inquiries and qualify customer requirements
- Determine customer needs on application and timeline
- Coordinate technical discussions with the Rental Operations Team
- Own and manage opportunities inside the company’s CRM system
- Build and follow-up on quotes with customers
Solution Development
- Determine UPS sizing, voltage and runtime requirements
- Match customer needs with available fleet assets and 3rd party partners
- Recommend appropriate rental configurations
Account Management
- Manage and grow sales across key accounts to achieve a sales quota
- Support effective service delivery to key accounts in coordination with the Rental Operations Team
- Build relationships with accounts and OEM partners
- Educate accounts and partners on Sure Power and its capabilities through the presentation of sales programs and presentations, including attending trade events
- Collaborate with other Sure Power teams as needed to develop and deliver successful solutions for our customers, including: Rental Ops, Scheduling, Finance
- Must participate and successfully complete all training as required by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
Education, Experience and Skills:
- 3-5 years successful sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Electrical – specifically working with 3-phase power (eg, UPS / critical power technician, field service engineer, electrical contractor, applications engineer)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering highly desired.
- Completion of a sales training program highly desired.
- B2B sales experience preferred.
- Goal driven and self-motivated.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet/Intranet).
- Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM software preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%)
