Job Description

We are seeking a Board Eligible Urologist for an ongoing, call-only assignment at a premier tertiary hospital in Wausau. Due to the high patient volume and intensity of the service, coverage is strictly structured in one-week blocks .

Assignment Timeline & Schedule

Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Shift Structure: 7 Days (Friday 4:00 PM Friday 7:00 AM)
Requirement: Providers are limited to one week at a time to ensure peak performance and work-life balance.
Credentialing: 90-Day Timeline.

Clinical Setting & Scope

Facility: Tertiary hospital with a 275 average daily census and a state-of-the-art ER.
Coverage Type: 24-Hour System Call Only (No Clinic).
System Call: Aspirus EMS/transports patients directly to this hub for urological care.
Caseload: High volume; includes ED consults, hospital rounding, and urgent procedures.
Common Procedures: Kidney stones, stent placement; no robotics required.
Support: Collaborative, highly-rated Hospitalist team.

Technical & Requirements

EMR: Epic
Certification: Board Eligible (BE) in Urology.

Licensure: Active Wisconsin (WI) Medical License.
