Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior React Developer / UI Engineer to join a major digital transformation initiative. The consultant will be responsible for designing and developing modern, user-friendly web interfaces and data-driven applications.

The role will focus on the development of strategic data services UI, working closely with engineering, data, business, and technology teams. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and SQL.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React and JavaScript.
  • Build reusable and scalable front-end components.
  • Develop interactive UI features and enhance overall user experience.
  • Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Work with JSON, XML, and SQL for data integration and application development.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
  • Follow established development standards, coding practices, and architectural guidelines.
  • Contribute to modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Develop applications supporting data-driven business processes.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative Agile development environment.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of software development / UI development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React.js.
  • Advanced JavaScript development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Experience developing responsive web applications.
  • Strong experience integrating applications with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience working with JSON and XML.
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with modern front-end development frameworks and libraries.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technology and business teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • UI/UX development experience.
  • Experience building data-driven applications.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud environments.
  • Agile/Scrum development experience.
  • Experience working in financial services, banking, capital markets, or securities environments.
