Used Vehicle Buyer / Acquisition Specialist
Tooele Motor Company – Tooele, UT
Tooele Motor Company is looking for a motivated and strategic Used Vehicle Buyer / Acquisition Specialist to help us aggressively grow our pre-owned inventory. This role is responsible for sourcing, appraising, and purchasing quality vehicles from multiple channels including auctions, online marketplaces, service drive opportunities, and direct consumer purchases.

Responsibilities
- Source and acquire quality pre-owned vehicles from auctions, private sellers, online marketplaces, and dealership trade networks
- Evaluate and appraise vehicles accurately using market data and vehicle condition
- Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure competitive purchasing strategies
- Purchase vehicles that align with dealership inventory needs and profit targets
- Build relationships with wholesalers, auctions, and private sellers
- Work closely with sales and management teams to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Follow all dealership purchasing policies and procedures
- Maintain proper documentation for vehicle purchases
Qualifications
- Previous automotive experience preferred (sales, appraisal, wholesale, or buying)
- Strong understanding of used vehicle values and market trends
- Ability to negotiate and close vehicle purchases effectively
- Familiarity with auction platforms and online vehicle marketplaces is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
