The organization’s mission is to steward, strengthen, and grow American rowing by championing performance and igniting new passion for the sport.USRowing selects, trains, and manages the teams that represent the U.S. in international competition. The organization serves multiple constituencies including novice learn-to-rowers, parents of rowers, masters rowers, adaptive rowers, collegiate rowers, indoor rowers and, most recently, coastal rowers. We are focused on growing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the sport of rowing on a national scale, on increasing support for our national team programs, and providing additional benefits and value to our over 77,000 individual members and 1,430 rowing organizations.Job Summary:With a rich Olympic and Paralympic legacy and strong momentum leading into the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games, USRowing is building a commercial team designed to unlock meaningful, long-term partnerships that drive growth for both the sport and our growing portfolio of partners.We are seeking a Director, Partnership Management to lead the execution, growth, and long-term success of USRowing’s corporate and licensee partnerships. This role will serve as the primary steward of partner relationships, ensuring seamless delivery of rights and assets while identifying opportunities to deepen engagement, drive renewals, and expand partnerships on the road to LA28 and beyond.This is a high-impact role for a relationship-driven, detail-oriented leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and storytelling.Key Responsibilities
- Partner Leadership & Cross-Functional Account Management
- Serve as the primary relationship lead for USRowing’s corporate partners and licensees, building trusted, long-term partnerships and ensuring alignment on goals, deliverables, and strategic priorities.
- Help design and evolve a best-in-class partner experience across the USRowing ecosystem, driving partner satisfaction, retention, and overall account success.
- Act as the internal voice of the partner, aligning stakeholders across marketing, events, development, and leadership to deliver cohesive, high-impact programs.
- Activation, Delivery, Measurement & ROI
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of partnership deliverables across events, content, and platforms.
- Develop activation plans, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functionally across Marketing, Events, and Development teams to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
- Maintain CRM accuracy and support the development of internal processes, tools, and SOPs to scale partnership management.
- Own partnership reporting and storytelling, delivering clear, data-driven recaps that highlight performance, audience reach, and impact.
- Establish consistent KPIs and reporting frameworks to support renewals and future investment.
- Renewals & Growth
- Lead renewal strategy and conversations, with a focus on retention and year-over-year value growth.
- Identify and develop upsell opportunities across new assets, programs, and platforms in partnership with sales and leadership.
- Contribute to the development of new partnership platforms, including LA28-related hospitality and integrated national programming.
- Ownership & Execution Mindset
- Operate with an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented approach, owning outcomes, driving accountability, and elevating the quality and creativity of partner execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in partnership management, account management, or sponsorship activation within sports, media, or live events
- Proven track record of managing and growing corporate partnerships
- Strong experience executing integrated campaigns across events, content, and experiential platforms
- Exceptional relationship management and communication skills
- Highly organized with strong project management capabilities and attention to detail
- Experience with CRM tools and reporting frameworks
- Passion for sports, community, and/or athlete storytelling is highly valued
