Position: USSOCOM Program Manager
Type: Full-Time
Location: Tampa, FL
Travel: 15%
CONTINGENT UPON AWARD
Position Summary: The Program Manager serves as the primary interface between government stakeholders and corporate leadership, responsible for driving execution of contract requirements in support of mission objectives. This role oversees program performance, workforce operations, and resource alignment in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities while ensuring all contractual and operational requirements are consistently met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute program strategies aligned with USSOCOM mission priorities and operational objectives
- Develop and maintain processes to manage personnel, reporting, and execution in a high-tempo environment
- Allocate and synchronize personnel, funding, and technical resources to support mission requirements
- Direct day-to-day operations, including tasking, scheduling, and coordination across distributed teams
- Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding to sustain a capable, mission-ready workforce
- Monitor team performance and take decisive action to address gaps and maintain operational effectiveness
- Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of operations
- Develop and execute contingency plans to support urgent and mission-critical requirements
- Deliver real-time solutions to operational challenges in dynamic and evolving environments
- Ensure all deliverables meet mission standards, quality expectations, and contractual requirements
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise reporting, including performance metrics and actionable recommendations
- Leverage data to assess program effectiveness and inform leadership decision-making
- Serve as a trusted interface with government stakeholders, providing timely updates and mission-focused briefings
- Support extended and after-hours operations as required to meet mission demands
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive program management experience supporting complex operations
- Demonstrated success managing multi-layered programs in dynamic, mission-driven environments
- Experience leading and overseeing large contract teams (40+ personnel)
- Background in strategic communications, media operations, or content production planning
- Proven ability to analyze performance metrics and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership
- Familiarity with U.S. military organizational structures and operational environments, preferably within the SOF enterprise
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and execute effectively in high-tempo environments
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
