Dedicated team is seeking an experienced Utility Driver/Operator!

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Utility Driver/Operator is responsible for transporting, operating and maintaining large equipment for job sites in a safe manner. Additionally, the position supports field crews in delivering forms, materials and supplies as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Driving safely to job sites.
  • Maintaining, Transporting and Operating Skid Steer, Backhoe, Misc. Heavy Equipment and Boom Crane (when necessary) in a safe manner.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and operations of all vehicles assigned to.  Inspecting and maintaining equipment every day in order to ensure safety and prevent damage to equipment and surrounding structures.
  • Being responsible for delivery of material and supplies to jobsites.
  • Meeting daily production goals working closely with project Coordinator, job site foreman and/or superintendent.
  • Submitting DVIR's daily for vehicles assigned to and heavy equipment (minimum once per/wk).
  • Following all safety rules and regulations as required, including wearing all PPE.
  • Maintaining CDL requirements at all times and attending required certification training as deemed necessary by Supervisor.
  • Assisting in the training of new drivers/operators as needed, assess when training is complete and when more training is needed.
  • Assisting in yard operations as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

  • A valid Class A CDL license.
  • A boom crane certification or the ability to complete Rusin's training course.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment use and maintenance requirements.
  • Knowledge of basic math and measurement skills.
  • The ability to keep company vehicles clean.
  • Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
  • Must be able to physically operate crane equipment (climb up and down into cab, twist torso for 360 degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly be required to reach with hands and arms, and frequently be required to stand; talk or hear; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls.
  • You will occasionally be required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Your vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
