Job Description
Position Summary
The Utility I production worker will be responsible to support the various production functions efficiently and safely within their assigned department.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:30am - 3:00pm
Location: Bowerston, OH
Essential Responsibilities
- Ability to work with wood, wood filler, glue, sandpaper, dust, etc.
- Assists machine operators ensuring needed supplies and products are available for processing, allowing downtime and challenging goals are met.
- Ensures feed rate supports machine specs and goals.
- Assists with loading, processing, and stacking material.
- Inspects material for defects prior to and after processing.
- Sands, packages and labels work in process and finished products.
- Identifies and communicates machine maintenance and/or performance issues to supervisor.
- Ensures proper guarding and safety devices are functioning and in use.
- Provides coverage as needed in other areas within or outside of the department.
- Ensures work areas are maintained in clean and organized fashion.
- Maintains work pace required to achieve production demands.
- Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- May work overtime, alternate shifts and weekends as needed on short notice.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
